We understand basic research as research on topics which we determine ourselves. Our research is published in journals with high scientific quality, i.e. including peer review and impact factor. We select our topics with the aim to obtain findings for a successful transformation of transport. Our findings should be directly applicable to decision-makers in business, administration and politics.

Our contract research addresses the costs and benefits of different transport modes, as well as statistical relationship of incentives for sustainable mobility and actual mobility behavior. We also contribute to expert reports on bicycle-friendly infrastructures. We provide target-oriented communication of our scientifc results.
